Privacy
Your information, treated with care.
This notice explains what AIKA Patisserie collects, why it is used and the choices available to you.
Last updated: 10 September 2026
Information we collect
When you place an order, send a message or request a custom cake, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, optional address, order details, pickup preferences, correspondence and any inspiration images you choose to share.
How we use it
We use this information to review and fulfil requests, communicate about availability and pickup, prepare invoices, provide customer service, maintain the security of the website and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
AIKA Patisserie uses carefully selected providers to operate the website and deliver its services, including Supabase for database and private file storage, Resend for transactional email, TransIP for website and domain services, and Google Analytics for optional website statistics. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services.
How long information is kept
Custom-request images are intended to be removed around 90 days after a request is closed or, for converted requests, around 90 days after pickup. General contact messages are intended to be retained for approximately 12 months unless they relate to an order, complaint or dispute. Order, invoice and accounting records may be retained for seven years where Dutch law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, restrict or delete your personal information, or object to its use. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Some records cannot be deleted immediately when a legal retention duty applies.
Cookies and local storage
The website records anonymous, first-party page-view totals, estimated visits and broad referral categories. Daily totals are kept for the current calendar month and then compacted into permanent monthly statistics. These aggregate statistics do not use cookies and do not store IP addresses, device details, full referrer URLs or visitor identifiers. With your consent, Google Analytics additionally uses cookies to measure visits, popular pages, approximate location, device information and general traffic sources. Google Analytics remains disabled until you choose Allow analytics. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. AIKA Patisserie does not use advertising cookies or enable Google advertising signals.
